New Hotel Le Quai

Client New Hotel
Architect Camille Antoun
This is the story of a very successful renovation of a 4 star hotel ideally located opposite the old harbour of Marseille and at the bottom of the Cannebière. To make it the atypical and elegant hotel that it has become, Camille Antoun has kept its original elements (the metal posts, the glass roof which overhangs an impressive stairwell) to which she has added raw and natural materials, and contemporary furniture. For the decoration, she was inspired by the multiple atmospheres that create the wealth of the city.

Between travel and contemporary design

The furniture is the perfect translation, combining travel and contemporary design. For the travels, objects found during trips, such as the solid wood bedside tables, the wicker wall lamps, and the cane chairs. For the design, in the rooms and lobby, Ligne Roset Contract reissued iconic pieces by Pierre Paulin: the Tanis desk - with its black Fenix top and walnut drawers - the Curule chair, displayed since 1983 at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs - and the CM131 chair, created in 1953. A singularly harmonious mix & match!
